LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

I feel obliged to present Maryamu and Yakubu Skill Development and Education Foundation to you; registered on senteenth January, 2013. Maryamu and Yakubu Skill Development and Educational Foundation were instituted to equip indigent women, youth and children with the education and skill to enable them realities. Our projects and programmes are homed in on our immediate communities.
Subsequently these endeavors will expand to all other parts of the state and beyond. The Foundation was christened after the departed parent of the Chairman of the Foundation in order to immortalize them and to also use it as a platform to keep on their vision.
Nigeria been the most populous country in Africa, endowed with abundant land, people and resources; it is also true that benefiting from these plentitude has been a pipe dream. We are committed to being of service to addressing this hindrance to the people to its fourth annivery close to 4,200 person benefitted from the Foundation’s services and we have recently estimated that over 60,000 have directly or indirectly benefitted from the Foundation’s Projects and programmes. A lot more is ahead to be achieved.
 We hope to achiev this by aligning the Foundation with projects and programmes that are critical ingredient required for reversing the age long rural-urban drift of the youths, push for peace and scale of substance abuse, cutting-back the rate of lawlessness, push for peace and up scaling food security Maryamu and Yakubu Skill Development and Educational Foundation haven realized that achieving this lies with empowering the youth and women, open wide our doors for discussions with Government and all other relevant organization on areas of engagement for achieving the goal.
